Inspired by Operation Float a Soldier                        and the Texas Traumatic Brain Injury Camps, the Canyon Lake Pilots endeavored to create their own unique day camp for Veterans with TBI.  Of course part of our inspiration  came from wanting to share our serene and beautiful Canyon Lake. 

We worked for a year preparing for our campers.  We developed applications and waivers, menus and decorations, games and lists of volunteers to make our dream a reality. 

We visited a large variety of facilities and organizations who serve our military veterans looking for just the right fishermen to come to Canyon Lake for the day.

We were pleased with our success even though our first camp turnout was small, the memories and gratitude we received from campers and caregivers alike was amazing.  We have much to build on for our second annual Fish Camp 2020.
