Members of the Pilot Club of Canyon Lake are dedicated contributors – of money, of time, and of goods. Each year we raise thousands of dollars to donate to local organizations and/or to community special needs for crisis situations (e.g., the flood of 2002 and the Bastrop fires of 2011) or needs that may arise during the year. Some of the local organizations who benefit from our financial support include:

In keeping with our mission Protect Your Brain for Life, we donate annually to the TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) golf tournament and we pay the tuition for one camper to attend the annual TBI camp.

In addition to the money Pilots donate, we also contribute hundreds of hours of volunteer time in the community each year:

  • We teach the girls to crochet during the quarterly Chicktime at New Life Children’s Center
  • We play Wii bowling once a month with the residents at Oak Tree Assisted Living Center
  • We greet and serve homemade cookies to the wounded warriors when they come to enjoy the river with Operation Float a Soldier
  • We serve in a variety of roles during the library’s Summer Reading Program

Along with giving our money and time, we collect and deliver hundreds of dollars worth of goods each year to local organizations:

We are committed to making our community the best it can be; and we are willing to give our time and money to make that happen. Pilots can be found volunteering every day of the week in one local organization or another.
